The Alice in wonderland was an amazing experience. Beautiful lights, story telling and roasting marshmallows over the fire.

Fantastic garden centre, I visit several times a week. Pet Place is a great indoor cafe space and pet shop if you want to bring your dog. The plants are more competitively priced than most people realise. I love the food shop and the butchers there and the kitchen makeover studio there even did my kitchen remodel. It’s more like a mini village at Bents rather than a garden centre!

Tonight we visited the Alice in Wonderland light trail and we were so impressed! The staff were as usual brilliant. The lady at the start offered to take our family picture which was so kind. The trail is brilliant! The detail and creative talent that has gone into it is fabulous. The music and interaction on the way round was awesome and loved by my 7 year old and 4 year old. The marshmallow station was great half way round. We finished off the evening with tea in the winter markets which was accompanied by live music! Then a little shop in Bents itself. A really lovely festive evening, thank you Bents xxx

I couldn't be more disappointed with a garden centre as when I went to Bents Garden Centre. Went to view their Christmas display and to make a large purchase to fill 2 brand new Christmas trees after getting ideas from their displays. However I could not get in to see any of it so did not make any purchases. They are so non dog friendly in their main building, It's unreal with big signs everywhere, saying no dogs permitted inside the main building at every door. It's the only garden centre I've been to that are not happy to welcome our whole family. If all other garden centres allow dogs in their main buildings, then why can't Bents? Regardless of the reasons given, all the others allow dogs everywhere apart from in the cafe. If they can make it work, then why can't you? If my dog is not welcome, then neither am I. It's my first visit in years and now will be my last. Very, very disappointing!!!

Very festive this time of year, lots of decorations to see and lots of beautiful and brilliant sets/displays and some where you can get some great pics of the kids, yes even the big ones! The food markets was great too, very clean with lots of choice. It did get very busy but we'll worth it :)

We went to see there Christmas decorations , along with there festive food market and their new light trail . The festive displays are excellent as usual along with there food hall . We ate twice at their seasonal food market with music and seating area . The 1st time was in the afternoon for a cappuccino and a customisable crumble ( I had the cherry bakewell base and custard ) . The portions were very generous , so not bad value for this type of event . The 2nd time we ate there was after visiting their light trail , with last orders at 8.30 pm . We both had a filled giant Yorkshire pudding with turkey and trimmings including roast parsnip and potatoes . The light trail was fantastic , and gives access to the area behind the lake and adventure golf course . The trail was themed to Alice and wonderland , with a mixture of lights , sculptures, picture boards , Chinese lanterns and audio . The trail is about a mile in length , with wide flat walkways , with the obligatory marshmallow toasting section , good fun , runs untill early January .

Absolutely amazing! What a great evening out! Firstly we dined in one of the Christmas Food Market Domes, which was so cozy. The food was delicious & really good value for money. The staff were fab, friendly yet professional. After eating we wandered around the Alice in The Hidden Garden light trails. WOW! This was perfect, so many lights even between the main installations. The staff there were fab especially the white rabbit! I would highly recommend even if you don't have children (or a love of Christmas?????) great price, lots of parking, fab staff 10/10*!

Bents is a stunning garden centre. Huge with numerous eating/drinking locations. Butchers, patiserie , food hall. Edinburugh woollen mill, lakeland & trespass too. Pets dept, cookware. Lots of parking, disabled access & mobility scooters. You can easily spend a day here. Bents is famous for its Christmas displays.

​Just had a wonderful trip to Bents Garden Centre with my two friends! ​We spent ages enjoying the gorgeous Christmas displays and getting into the festive spirit. The effort that goes into the Christmas section is truly impressive and made for some fun browsing. ​However, the real highlight of our visit was the dessert! We stopped for a treat, and the one pictured (a berry pavlova, I think?) was sensational. The meringue was perfect, the cream was light, and the fresh fruit with the drizzle was the icing on the cake. Honestly, it was a beautiful end to our visit and absolutely delicious. ​Great shopping experience and fantastic food! Highly recommend Bents for both your garden/home needs and an amazing sweet treat.

Lovely this place, some bargains can be found of god quality, most of plants and flowers i have including pots come from bents. The meat is of high quality and very reasonable priced, same as what supermarkets charge but much nicer. The garden range inside and out are excellent choices, and christmas displays are excellent. Some items I think are over priced but overall I enjoy coming here to look around and normally end up purchasing something or many things!
